How To Install Elasticsearch on AlmaLinux 9

To install Elasticsearch on AlmaLinux 9, follow these steps:

Step 1 : Update the System

Run the following command to update your system packages:

sudo dnf update -y

Step 2 : Install Java

Elasticsearch requires Java. Install it using:

sudo dnf install java-21-openjdk -y

Save the generated password for later use.

Test Elasticsearch using curl:

curl -k -u elastic:yourpassword https://localhost:9200
