How to Set Up SSH Keys on Ubuntu 26.04

To set up SSH keys on Ubuntu 26.04, create a key on the client and copy it to the server.

Step 1 : On the client. Press Enter for the defaults.

ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "comment"

Step 2 : Change the user and IP.

ssh-copy-id username@192.168.1.50

Step 3 : Test from the client.

ssh username@192.168.1.50
